throttle body & cable

Post by mrgarry2turbo »

Morning everyone.

when i had to buy a new TB i needed one for a rev 1, as the rev3+ has a larger bore.

couldn't find one for rev1 so opted for a rev2, not knowing that later rev2s has a different throttle cable mounting bracket. In fact it turns out that instead of the cable bracket being mounted to the TB its mounted to the intake pipe.
am i correct?
cant find a pipe anywhere on the net so is there anyone whos breaking a rev2, and do i also need a whole new cable.

ive botched a bracket for now and works quite well but would like things to be how they should.

I've got a spare rev2 throttle body here, with the support bracket (that goes to the head), and the intake plenum.

Let me know if you're still in need of one, and I can get it out to you :)

Yes mate, I have the intake plenum - complete with the cable bracket attached.

Call it £10 posted, as a PayPal gift to: [email protected]

Do you need the bolts that hold it to the throttle body too?
