Re: Starting issue
Hi guys Well i have just managed to fix the issue before the light failed. It turned out to be as simple as the spring loaded central post in the distributor cap was jammed down and so not giving a proper contact to the rotor arm. I fitted a new cap anyway and will have a go at freeing up the origin...

Starting issue
Hi all I have an issue with my AW11 which is very difficult to start. The battery seems ok and is turning the engine over well enough, but it is not really even attempting to fire now. I did charge the battery at the weekend just in case and it started at the absolute first turn of the key - but i h...

To lacquer or not to laquer
Evening all I am just about to repaint the front lower quarter panels on my car in 3E5 red. Question is, should they be lacquered after painting red or not? Also, what colour primer is correct? Halfords say white with their rattle cans according to the website but grey seems to be used in pics i see...

Re: Vibrating exhaust heat shield.
On a brighter note, i've just got back from a trip to Buxton to meet Gary (mk1 Dal) who has sorted a front wing for me at a very good price. It turned out an even better price as he's not only repaired and primed a bit of rust on the lower corner as we agreed, but has resprayed the wing in 3E5 red f...

Re: Fitting Original MR2 Roadster Alloys&Tyres Year 2000
I've got mk3 wheels on my car.
The rear nuts are deeper than the front ones and so I got the proper nuts.
Both are shorter than mk1 nuts though, so your originals are just going to stick out and probably look a bit out of place.

Side Skirt Trim
Hi all Well another post towards my newbie learning experience. I've tried a search about replacing the rubber seal on the side skirts and see that double glazing seal is recommended. Is this the stuff required? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230754560210?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#h...

Re: Upgraded Rear ARB Size
It also looks like i need to sort the drop links due to the different width of the standard bar to the mk2 bar.
Has anyone found a direct replacement rather than cut n shut a standard link to spin the heads around??

Upgraded Rear ARB Size
Hi all After changing all my suspension bushes for Polyurethane ones from SBits, I am looking at an upgrade to the rear anti roll bar. From a search, it seems the Whiteline or mk2 Turbo bar are the ones to go for. Looking at poly bushes available though on Fensport for the mk2 Turbo, it seems there ...

Hi all Just saying a quick hi to you all from another newbie. I have a 1989 mk1b that will be gradually tidied up over time. I work within walking distance from work so this is very much a toy for me. Car is pretty standard at the moment other than the brakes (Celica ST twin pots with Celica disks u...
