Upgraded Rear ARB Size

Post by Hoylake_AW11 »

Hi all

After changing all my suspension bushes for Polyurethane ones from SBits, I am looking at an upgrade to the rear anti roll bar.

From a search, it seems the Whiteline or mk2 Turbo bar are the ones to go for. Looking at poly bushes available though on Fensport for the mk2 Turbo, it seems there are 17mm, 18mm and 19mm bushes available. Does this mean that there are 17, 18 and 19mm bars out there on the mk2 turbo cars or am i missing something?

The bushes have made such a great upgrade already, and I just need to get rid of a small clunk with a new track rod end (just collected this morning). Its tempting to upgrade the shocks / springs at some stage soon!!

It also looks like i need to sort the drop links due to the different width of the standard bar to the mk2 bar. Has anyone found a direct replacement rather than cut n shut a standard link to spin the heads around??

17mm, 18mm and 19mm are OEM sizes. 20mm, 22mm and 25mm are available aftermarket.

I keep all the bushes in stock.

Thanks Peter - i'll no doubt be in touch to order a pair once i sort a bar out and know the right size to order.
Does £30 for one (from a breakers near me - MR2-Ben) sound about right?

Good morning Peter.

While its good to have a breaker near me, he's a mk2 specialist only i'm afraid - and I think we all know that (dare I say it) mk1 > mk3 > mk2 dont we??
