Re: [FINALIZED] Another whats it worth UPDATED AGAIN, back on sale £4,000

ok, final post on this topic. The car was viewed, sold and driven away last night for the full asking price. The good news for me and other sellers, is that if you are a little patient, people are still willing to pay good money for good MR2s. Hopefully this will help keep the used values of our pri...

Re: [FINALIZED] Another whats it worth UPDATED AGAIN, back on sale £4,000

yep, cambelt was replaced a while back. The seal on the water pump went, so I had it done at the main dealer while the engine was out for that. 8)

Re: [FINALIZED] Another whats it worth UPDATED AGAIN, back on sale £4,000

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Rustyracing is no longer able to purchase the car at this time. :(

So, now its back up for sale at £4,000 as before. Probably one of the best original spec black turbo T-bars in the the country.

Please feel free to ask any questions etc.

Re: [FINALIZED] Another whats it worth UPDATED AGAIN, back on sale £4,000

Thanks everyone for your interest on this car. I've decided that it is going up for sale, asking price will be £4000 ono. I haven't found a replacement yet, and I can't be without transport, so I'm not advertising it anywhere else for another week or two. Other useful details: Its in for MOT and ser...

Re: Aircon regass volume

Warning, Thread resurrection!
lol

Just checking, but does this mean REV3 all use R134a? Mine is typically running low when I'm thinking of selling, so I was going to get it topped up. Is there any way to tell what gas it needs?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just saw an R134a sticker on the engine bay lid!

Re: [FINALIZED] Another whats it worth UPDATED AGAIN, back on sale £4,000

First post is now updated with exterior pics. I test drove a new Civic diesel yesterday, and I quite liked it, so I'll probably be putting this baby up for sale once the MOT, and service have been done this month  I'm guessing this forum and possibly Pistonheads are the best place to advertise ...

Re: [FINALIZED] Another whats it worth UPDATED AGAIN, back on sale £4,000

Hi guys, apologies, I was hoping to be posting a load of photos of the car today, but I've been holding off taking the photos until I can give the car a wash. The weather (and baby watching duties) has scuppered that for the weekend again, so I'll try and get some interior shots done during the week...

Re: [FINALIZED] Another whats it worth UPDATED AGAIN, back on sale £4,000

Hi Benni,

I've not got any recent pictures of the engine bay, but I'll try and take a few pictures later in the week and add them to the post.

Cheers,
Jim

Another whats it worth UPDATED AGAIN, back on sale £4,000

A new baby and a change in job means I am thinking about selling my MR2 and buying something I can fit a buggy and a kiddy seat into... I've been looking at what car to get, but without knowing what my MR2 is worth, its difficult to know what I can afford, so I'm after any ideas you may have. The ca...

plastic undertrays

looks like I've somehow split one of the plastic undertays on my rev3 turbo :( It's the one just in front of the rear left wheel, but if someone is selling a full set cheap enough, I may grab the lot. I've seen a few like that on ebay in the past. If I go looking for 2nd hand replacements, does anyo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Another brake question

well, the HEL kit arrived, and looks good to my amateur eyes. It includes the 4 brake lines, with rubber grommits installed half way down, and also a small packet with new washers and other fittings. :D I probably won't be able to get it installed for a few weeks, but I'm really looking forward to t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Another brake question

Thanks for this guys. Looks like I'll be ordering the HEL kit. Does anyone know what Toyota sell the OEM brake lines for?

I'm trying to convince the wife that the braided hoses are a good price, so I wanted a comparison :D

Hi Toxo, could you tell any difference as the new components were fitted? Please post how things go with the new master cylinder, as after braided hoses, thats the last thing for me to change!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Another brake question

So when you say about electronric gadgetry, is the just the ABS or do they do anthing else noawadays? My rev3 already has ABS, which is all my comparison car (2003 Seat Leon) has. To be fair, the Leon is only really a MK4 golf in a new shell, so its only a 1997 design. Now I've driven the car a bit ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Another brake question

thanks for the replies. So there seems to be a difference of opinion on the standard brakes. Some have got very good feeling while others not so good. I think for now I'll see if the brakes feel a bit better after more frequent use, and I'll look at a set of braided hoses. I know I've not changed th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Another brake question

Thanks Mark!

So are HEL a good manufacturer for brake pipes? Do braided hoses make much difference?
