Re: Lifeline Plumbed-In Fire System
On the basis that this is a not-for-profit exercise, and Peter feel free to shoot me down / remove this post if it's out of line, but is there a reason you've chosen the particular kit you have? Surely you'd be better with the basic club fire marshal kit which is the same specification but has a ste...

Thanks for the feedback!
For those wondering about the butterfly, we found it in the workshop. Obviously there's less sustenance there than there would be outside so we let it go.

Re: Rogue XP1 - Adding Lightness...
Are the Xenons road legal/road useable, or could they be made so? Yes, they can be made road legal - I fully intend to do this to mine - it's as close to a motorbike as I'm allowed! Some more race footage, this time from the Birkett Six Hour Race. The MR2 at the beginning has a tuned BEAMS engine: ...

I don't remember Adam ever mentioning that it was number 001. I'm pretty sure he would have!

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Rev 5 ABS, this should not be possible...?
Check that the ABS ECU is receiving the STOP signal when you put your foot on the brake. If the ECU doesn't know that you're applying the brakes then it won't actuate the ABS solenoids - this is how I make the ABS switchable in MR2 Roadster race cars, which use a very similar system. (Also check you...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Engine management light
UK speedo will read correctly and will clear the engine management light. You will still have the limiter in place at ~112mph.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Engine management light
Yes, disconnected speedo = engine management light. It won't affect the car in any other way, with the exception that the built in speed limiter is now disabled.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] The Lightest you can get?
My last MR2 Championship mk2 weighed in at 1021kgs. It was a G grade tin top, so no ABS and no PS from the factory. I stripped the car pretty much to the bone at the back but left a lot of the weight at the front for distribution purposes - full-sized standard battery, re-enforcement under the bonne...

Re: Rogue XP1 - Adding Lightness...
If only I had a 2ZZ engine - that 50bhp and 1,500 rpm extra would come in really handy.

A clip from the TV highlights of my last race:

Not so much giant killing as punching above it's weight. The Xenon is able to compete with cars in a different class running an additional 50bhp!

Just found out that both consoles need to be permanently connected in order to play games?! WTF? What happens if there's a power cut? More pictures! We've done some colouring in - it turns out that a grey chassis with grey transparent panels isn't particularly eye catching on a grey race circuit! Also, here's my video of the wet race at Pembrey at the weekend. I started from the back of the grid (by choice - mostly so I could anno...
