Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Reducing front end lift and generally improving front end grip
Venting into the front wheel wells? Radiator efficiency depends on airflow, which is characterised by a pressure difference. As a result, greater cooling is achieved by venting the air to a lower pressure area and taking it from a high pressure area. The bumper is a high pressure area, especially wi...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Reducing front end lift and generally improving front end grip
I don't see a diffuser on that Impreza, just a diff and an ARB. I suspect the rear bumper was catching air and acting like a parachute. Removing it has probably reduced drag. Fitting a diffuser would have been far more preferable as it would generate some downforce. Maybe the car wouldn't be several...

Re: [Mk3] [Generic] Auto Gearbox: Good or Bad?
I've seen hacks for reducing the shift time. There's a throttle bypass mod, and then it's down to lightening the flywheel. I've found one nearby, so I think I'll take a test drive this weekend. Cheers, Andy The one i drove did have the shift time speeded up but it was still dog slow though. I guess...

Re: [Mk3] [Generic] Auto Gearbox: Good or Bad?
They are okay, though the shift time is frustratingly long. They blip lovely on downchanges, but when you've got your foot down, you'll find the gearchange time to be a bit leisurely. Its not the end of the world but it certainly detracts from the drive. It isn't actually an auto btw its a servo (I...

[Mk3] [Generic] Auto Gearbox: Good or Bad?
I need a new car, and I'm thinking about getting back into MR2s with a Mk3. Cheap, economical, great handling, and superb reliability. That's what the reviews say, anyway! The issue is that there's not many autos around, and I've not driven a Mk3 at all. Has anyone got or driven a Mk3 auto? What are...

Or...........a feature on tuning. Get a bog standard MR2 and the fastest one off the club and compare times. Then, the following week do the same for a skyline, then the same again a week after with an evo etc etc. That'd be great. I'm sure we'd all love it. Order not important - that Im sure would...
