I doubt many people on here would still have the stock turbo air intake installed and so wouldn't know if it's in the right place or not.
It's a good excuse to get a new induction kit though

Here are the photos:
Is it supposed to be located there?
I can easily push it onto the rubber lining:

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Not holding boost NOW WITH VIDEO
I think I may have finally solved this little problem. I was having a little poke around the stock airbox/resonator at the weekend. I noticed that the opening to the pipe that feeds air from the side vent/winglet to the resonator box was pretty close to the plastic surround inside the side vent. The...

Try Luke at Pacific Works in Hertfordshire. He charges £160 labour for a cambelt change, very reasonable.

Re: mr2 turbo insurance specialists
Oh right, joke went right over my head lol! I definitly selected GT turbo on my insurance because I remember being confused that there was a GT as well. Anyway, I'm chuffed with my renewal price \:D/ down about £200 from last year. Admiral/Bell/Elephant seem to be about £1000 cheaper than other comp...

Re: Turbo advice pros and cons
I went from a rev 3 n/a to a rev 3 turbo. There's plenty more smiles per mile with a turbo that's for sure :D Regarding insurance and fuel; my insurance went up about £150 and my mpg is about 3-4 less but obviously 99 RON petrol is more expensive. Definitely worth going from n/a to turbo it in my vi...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Exhaust Blowing - Newbee Advice on Parts
My old MR2 had a receipt from a previous owner for having the exhaust manifold replaced at Beadles Toyota in Maidstone. I seem to remember it was over £1000 for parts and labour. I usually get my parts from TCB parts or Camskill and get my work carried out at a small garage in Maidstone called Monge...

Re: What would this be worth?
Definitely track down the previous owner then. His name and address will be on the front of the V5, see if hes on facebook or something. He will be a lot more forthcoming with any issues the car had. Just as a bit of a guide I got a standard rev 3 turbo with similar mileage and in good condition la...

Re: What would this be worth?
See if you can track down the previous owner or the guy who rebuilt the engine. They may shed some light on what djpkins said. Personally I'd have a good poke around those extended arches, just to check it's all been fitted properly. At the end of the day just take it for a test drive and see if you...

Re: What would this be worth?
If it's in really good condition then I'd pay £2300 to £2800 at a push. Do have a good look for rust though, especially the sills, bottom of the drivers door and at the back of the rear wheel arches. Also, on the test drive find a quiet bit of road and accelerate from about 20mph in 3rd gear right ...
