Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Top feed fuel injectors
Do you know if you need injector collors or adapters of somesort to fit the injectors in the head? you can cut the ends off a stock rail and use those as adapters. i run a 3SGE top feed rail (used to run a 5SFE) with WRX injectors modded to flow about 900cc/min and just used the old stock rail to m...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best EMS / ECU for 350BHP???
yup. you're right. that drops the theoretical upper range to 395bhp @ 11.5:1. still pretty solid for what the OP is trying to do. if he wants to eventually grow beyond that though, a different system would be a better choice. i need to ask my friend if he smushed his fuel pressure regulator. his cel...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best EMS / ECU for 350BHP???
355wheel at 15psi! That's bloody good effort! Now if you'd make those Honda conversion kits for us dummies to plug and play (then map then at our favourite tuner of course) we'd snap them up big style lol i'm working on it. i suck though. maybe i'll have something by next spring. i have too much fu...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best EMS / ECU for 350BHP???
for such a modest power goal, the OEM gen3 3SGT ECU would be the best value, and it's already tuned. 350whp is possible on the gen3 ECU as well. a friend has a gen3 motor/ECU in his celica with just turbo/intercooler and he's putting 355whp down. his lambda values are just peachy, running 15psi. Ho...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bucket Seats
i did mine using 6mm thick 6061-T6 angle. bolted them to the original seat rails, then to the seats. one of the things i ran into with mine was that the adjuster lever would hit the bottom of the bucket, since i was mounting the seats so low. i had to grind away a little of the lever/bracket to prev...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] new brakes on - BBK
yeah, i'm in minnesota. we pay our registration, we get our sticker. there's no inspection or emissions of any sort. it's good if you're looking to run stuff that isn't 'letter of the law,' but i see vehicles on the road everyday that i wish had to pass some sort of safety inspection. double edged s...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] new brakes on - BBK
the rears work beautifully. i'm surprised at the braking the car can do now with the 235/255 tires as well. for some reason, it's so much easier to threshold brake than it used to be, and requires little in the way of modulation to keep the ABS from kicking in. haven't bothered sorting the e-brake y...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] new brakes on - BBK
Allen, glad to see they're working for you. I got a chance to take mine out on track a couple weekends ago at Road America, and while it was mostly slow touring, there were a couple laps where I got to really test the brakes. The pedal feel is actually amazingly consistent hot or cold. There was no ...
