Re: Small problem - or maybe not?
http://www.shinny.co.uk/photos/dash.01.jpg I assume you mean the orange light on the right hand side of the dash? If so, I had this come on when my alternator belt was slipping and it stayed on permanently when it snapped! If you have the volt meter on your dash (my NA does...), when the light come...

Re: another bleeding brakes problem, no pedal pressure after changing calipers
Read your post properly, above might sound patronising, sorry!
The MC can be gone in several ways, fluid p1$$ing out or the piston being knackered. I doubt either to be honest... This is an odd one, let us know when it's cured and the fault!

Re: another bleeding brakes problem, no pedal pressure after changing calipers
Sounds like you just need to bleed the brakes properly. If you're using a easy bleed (valve on a tube): ensure all parts of the system are tight - bleed nipples, hose to caliper connection, flexi hose to solid tube... turn the rear left caliper nipple 3/4 of a turn with the easy bleed, pump the peda...

Re: Nurburgring Laps
Good point about the bushing Lauren, the bushes are VERY tired! I've liberated some bumpstops now, just have to purchase a polybush kit and get it tweaked for Cadwell (middle of October!).
Unfortunately I'm not coming to JAE but thanks for the info!

Re: Nurburgring Laps
On the topic of engine swap, would probably only consider a beams, quite expensive though. As I said before hoping to get one from work which would be a 2 litre supercharged engine... Although this isn't likely for atleast 6 months!

Re: Nurburgring Laps
Thanks, was my 9th lap in total. Spent a lot of time playing it on Forza though! Lauren, you're right about the camber. Also I was trying to carry as much speed as possible, in it's current setup it's easy to scrub the speed off with understeer making it quite an easy car to drive on the limit. If y...

Re: Nurburgring Laps
Camera is a GoPro 2, the motorsport version comes with a suction cup. The camera was stuck on the rear screen with the suction cup and it comes out quite far, maybe 6 or 7 inches. Marshalls did have a moan after one lap hence I stuck it on after I went through the barrier and took it off at the end ...

Re: Nurburgring Laps
The plan is to get some bumpstops from work and polyurethane packers made up to tweak the U/S to O/S balance. Also like to get some better wheel control by getting it polybushed. Maybe next year get some AD08's fitted and camber bolts, then look into changing the suspension hardpoints to get some ki...

Re: Nurburgring Laps
Toyota brakes, braided brake lines dot 5.1 fluid...
Standard springs and bilstein uprated dampers...
Tyres are front 195/50/R15 Yokohama Parada Spec 2's and rears are 225/50/R15 Falken ZE 912s (genuinely impressed with these in the dry, very twitchy in the wet).
So basically standard!

Also I did hit the wipers on at the exact same time on that lap as well lol. No idea why it only happened for that corner!

Re: 3 Laps of Snet 300 Circuit
Cheers, I went for the 20 minute taster sessions that MSV do. Got to the front of the queue and no one caught me up so pretty much track to myself! Didn't see anyone for the whole session which was really nice. It's a rev 2 NA, running standard springs, yellow billies, toyota pads with braided brake...

Full HD now - just that Youtube takes a few minutes to process, also short clip below demonstrates oversteer due to trail braking:

3 Laps of Snet 300 Circuit

For your viewing pleasure, couple of bits of oversteer only had 15 minute session but decent pace. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to upload full HD quality, when I get that done I'll add it also!

Re: Flat floor under trays
I'm planning on doing this also. I was advised by my touring car racer friend to use marine ply 2/3mm thick. Easier to work with and survives fine.

Re: Welding tips..need to fix my manifold in a hurry!
Don't bother running the engine before welding, and it'd be easier for you to remove the exhaust is possible. Much better than setting fire to yourself welding upside down! (speaking from experience here... although this is welding mild steel and not stainless)
