Re: Imaculate Black MR2-T-top Turbo for sale *Now £3000*

I don't really mean break it, just swap the parts back to standard and sell seperately. It's a lovely car, there's no doubt, and seperately I'm sure people often spend that money (mine probably owed me £10k by the time I sold it) but for what ever reason, no one would buy a ready modded car at that...

Re: Imaculate Black MR2-T-top Turbo for sale *Now £3000*

Yeah it has that power with dyno run to prove, I may consider breaking but I would be after almost new prices as they are all less than two months old #-o I know the price is steep but you get what you pay for and everything is how it should be, there are plently of dogs out there which would go for...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Should I bother with an aftermarket ECU ?

I have the dyno sheets to prove the horse power also has a reading of the boost presure I will have a little peak at that to see when It drops off. I think I will first invest in the metal headgasket and also see if I can source an IC hopefully then all will be well :thumleft:

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Should I bother with an aftermarket ECU ?

Its not constantly running at 1.3 bar to be honest it just peaks at that not and again on the chart my turbo does hold the boost all the way, the boost is also mainly running at 1.1 bar looking at the reading on the controller, I have set the controller to low for now anyway so it should be ok

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Should I bother with an aftermarket ECU ?

he seems to think everything is running how it should be It might be running ok now but that situation definitely won't last unless you turn the boost down. Have a search around on the forums, there's loads of threads about what you need to do to run higher boost on the rev 2. 1.3 on a rev 2 ouch, ...

I just spoke to my mechanic as im a little worried about it blowing up he seems to think everything is running how it should be and the boost is mainly running at 1.1 bar but peaks at just under 1.3 at the mid range. Do you still think I need this turned down a little ? yea and it sounds like your ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Should I bother with an aftermarket ECU ?

The boost on the dino run seems to be holding fine, I dont think the chap would have set it up at a point where it would go pop it would not be worth his reputation to be honest I may be mistaken it could be the max level set on the boost controller as a safe guard.

MLS HG whats this ?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Should I bother with an aftermarket ECU ?

Hi, Just needed some advice really, I’m looking into perhaps buying a piggy back ECU for the tubby but I’m not quite sure whether I am going to be pushing the old girl too much on stock internals and also whether the gains I will get would be worthwhile given my current setup. I’m currently running ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Aftermarket exhaust

I did look into a custom exhaust from powerflow and they were super expensive they wanted £430 for a cat back system :-k and that would have only been 2.5"
