[Mk2] [Turbo] Aftermarket exhaust

Post by Aimson »

Hi all, just a quick question I need some advice to be honest.

I am looking to get an aftermarket exhaust on my tubby currently swaying towards the Berk exhaust but not sure if its a good one to go for !?!?!

I do however want a twin exhaust system as I'm not a massive fan on the single exit

Anway a few suggestions would be a great help,

Thanks

i too have a mongoose. Great exhaust, the tail pipes looks so much better than standard. It sits really sweet as well, so its not two massive cans hanging out the back of your car.

Sound wise, its not bad at all. It does drone at around 70mph but you get used to it. Im running a 2.5" downpipe as well.

I love my Haywood and Scott, makes a lovely sound, but not too loud when cruising. Not cheap though, around £600.

My mates got a full berk system, decat and exhaust. It looks and sounds the mutts nuts!

If it was to go twin exit it would be the berk without a shadow of a doubt.

I have a Mongoose now, but am going to get a Berk when I need to change the 'goose :thumleft:

The mongoose sounds good without being too loud and in yer face, and the build quality is really good, but they can really drone at 70-75mph :thumleft:

Ok, now I really am confused  so I would assume either a Berk or Mongoose would be good looking at the pics the build quality looks a little better on the berk but on the flip side mongoose is £90 cheaper

Reason I went for a mongoose is I didnt want something too loud and something that looked pretty standard..

If i want something loud I just take out my 2.5 V6 Mazda MX6 (straight through) and thats louder than MR2 turbo ive ever seen or heard! -
