Went to Maplins today and bought a tape head cleaner for a fiver. Wow it actually worked, the cassette player is now fully functional banging out the tunes. Gonna keep the original headunit now. Hopefully a cassette to cable then plugged into the phone will work and all the Youtube music can be play...
Being honest and realistic there is no reason to pay more than £3000 for a good MR2. I seen them go for that so play around that level, there is no reason to pay more unless they are equipped with special types of mods.
The mr2 radio needs an update./ It came with a single din pioneer aftermarket, but I bought an original dooble din toyota hifi from somewhere forum wise and it is really noce to have it, however the cd doesn't work and ejects them straight away, the tape player doesn't sound right like the head's wo...
What a bargain. All the spend and under a grand. They look so good in white too. If I was in the market for another this would be worth a look for sure.
To be honest you might want to go buy an NA and see if you like it. Mk2 are unusual in the car world and you can test this without too much expenditure by buying a cheap NA. It is almost the same thing as a Turbo and will go around normal roads with corners and lots of traffic exactly the same and g...
What a hike in mr2 prices. Some turbo sellers are asking silly money for cars that are not that good been looking for one for a while and looked on ebay listings ended there is a most of the expensive ones not sold.Perhaps sellers are getting a bit gready. If when selling you get back what you spen...
Over priced? An MR2 Turbo is an absolutely magnificent piece of automobile engineering, plus they absolutely go like stink. They are also on the verge of becomi ng a true classic car. 3.5k for such a machine? Surely that is good value for money
Not yet. Been toying with the idea, checking up on iffy things to look out for, like these precats things that look like they can cause trouble. Also the misses has had a go at me about the amount of junk (as she calls it) that has to make way (semi deceased Talbot 1986 camper and mk2 turbo) before I...
Thanks for this. I'm so out of the mk3 game I just don't know what to consider, but as you state it does look a decent price. As far as I can make out it is the revamped model being a later one, if I go check it out I'll check for mayonnaise under the filler cap and on the dipstick. Tell the truth I...
Thinking about going to look at this as its down the road. Is it about the right price? Do they have any issues on a 56 plate? Is 80,000 miles ok for a mk3. Only had mk1 and 2 before so don't know what to think or look for, current a rev3 turbo nut just fancy a change and a open top car. Can the exp...
Both mk2s have been tin tops. the mk1 had a sunroof but didn't use it much. To be honest never really thhoight about it until now. Positive side. It does feel fairly safe in the tin top tubby. Like has good construction. Negative side. You do feel claustrophobic in the tin top, can be a little creep...
