[FINALIZED] Rays Vesta Serbring - great tyres and tread - bargin at £450 ovno

HI All

The alloys where refurbished had not long been I got them and then I put new decent tyres front and rear on them with the correct profiles too

Fronts;
Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 running 205/45/16 on a 7j rim 7mm thread

Rear;
Kumho SPT KU31 running 225/45/16 on a 8j rim 8mm tread

I choose these tyres because of there good wet grip and decent reviews especially since the Toyo T1Rs have gone down in quality since changing where there manufactured. Sadly when the garage was fitting the tyres the scratched one of the rims and I didn't notice as they went straight into the back of my passat at the time and I will get a picture of this in due course. Below is a picture of what the look like on my v6 back in September when I prep'd the car for JAE.

Yes the do as they are on my 95 glimited shell and running gear hppe that helps

Thanks Sheppy and Oddshoes, do you think there can be any rubbing/catching the wheels on the arches?

without spacers there isnt a problem I tried 25mm spacers and there was slight rubbing so took of the spacers

Sounds pretty cool on the rubbing the arch front. Just out of interest what are "spacers" and what do they do?

They fit between the hub and the wheel to push the wheel further out.

new wheels fitted this evening and the old ones are off. I measured thread depth and fronts are 7mm and the rears are 8mm
