[Mk2] [Turbo] fit a dastek with an aftermarket ecu (mine's in).

hi, before i bought my Mine's ecu for my gen3, i bought a dastek unichip (mapped for a gen2 tubby), but come without any harness instruction and boost module. finally, i found a harness fitting diagram, so i could fit it to my car. but my question is, the unichip is a piggyback, so, it could be adap...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] CT20b made a bad noise, upgrade to GT2835

i don't want 3 turbos, i just have them. two come from the HKS big twin turbo kit from a supra TT, one was for spare. When the cars was upgrade with 2 IHI turbo, the owner sold me some parts for my previous supra. But, i sold my supra and keep the parts before upgrade... so I ll only put one (fthe o...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] CT20b made a bad noise, upgrade to GT2835

HKS respect flange type, and they have there own name but i think it could be approximatively same as a T28.. a GT2835 next to a ct26 from a supra TT.... http://images0.hiboox.com/images/1908/58j62g8t.jpg this is not the turbo i ll put in my gen3, too much damage on this one, but it ll be one of the...

Re: Smokin....

Hi Kevin I think you will find rev 1 and rev 2 have 7 or 9 bolt exhaust manifolds, probably just rev 2 with 9 bolt? Whereas rev 3 have an 8 bolt manifold. Stephen yes, i found many rev1/2 manifold with t25/28 flange and t3, but no manifold for rev3 with t25 flange (1 or 2 with t3 flange), but, i bo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] CT20b made a bad noise, upgrade to GT2835

thanks JJ! and toyokid, so, i ll made this upgrade. and if necessary, a friend will tune the car. do you think i need to change my manifold or i can keep the OEM one, with a flange adaptor (fensport sold a ct20/26 to T25/28 flange) ? i heard from a friend, that toyota manifold could split aft...

Re: GT28

Hello kevin A difficult question to answer insofar as we do not know the modifications you have made. A rev 1/2 with a AFM would register an increase in volume of air so would probably react better to a change of turbo. A run on a dyno using a wideband sensor would answer most of your queries. If y...

[Mk2] [Turbo] CT20b made a bad noise, upgrade to GT2835

hi guys, my ct20b make a very bad sound and deliver only 0.1b (compressor wheel still gripped). i stopped my mr2, and controlled piping, intercooler, etc. i have in stock, a gt2835 hks turbo coming from my previous supra, so, i think ill change my ct20b for this one, but, do i need to change my ECU?...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bigger rev3 brakes???

I did go for the Brembo conversion. Serious bit of kit, i have more than enough stopping power for my 350bhp Rev 3 Tubby, If it is in your budget i would seriously consider it. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a290/scottbarton/MR2/DSC01970.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a290/scottbarton/MR2...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] closer final ratio - new question

i take a look on gear ratio, and finally, the best "stock" gearbox should be an NA gearbox with a TURBO final ratio. but, my question is, if i keep my gen3 turbo gearbox and my final ratio, and put in, an internal gear ratio from a NA, will i have to change my clutch and flywheel too or i ...
