Re-spray

After I've sorted all the rust I'm gonna give her a new coat of paint!
However, I don't know if I should keep her the original colour, Mica Blue, or have a one off colour? Quite like the thought of British Racing Green or Bright
Yellow!
What do you think??

depends how close to kit form the car is....

if you've got the glass out, the panels/doors off then yep, a new colour is a great idea. Spray the panels seperately & assemble with new bolts and it'll look great.

But if you're leaving the screen/doors/panels in place, then stick to the original colour. Nothing screams "bodge" more than opening the doors/bonnet and seeing the original paint on the sills/inner wings/etc.

Hmmmm, I don't think BRG would work too well on a Mk1 personally... However, if I were choosing between these colours, I'd copy the two-tone white over silver colour scheme, except with the bottom half yellow and the top BRG... ;)

However, as said, you really ought to make sure all the inside bits (frunk, engine bay, interior etc) are done as well, else it'll not work out so well...

I'm swaying towards the Yellow me thinks! :D

It'll look better with my Blue interior, complementry colours and all that!

Gotta get it done proper though. Would look half-ar$ed if I didn't get the hidden bits painted [-X
