[Mk2] [Turbo] Quick coolant question!
How many litres do i need? Just going to use a normal ethylene glycol antifreeze
(unless someone can convince me otherwise?)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Quick coolant question!
System holds around 13.4 litres.

However, 10 litres should do you if you're just draining from the radiator and the two pipes under the car
(not many people drain from the engine, as not many know exactly where it is
).

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Quick coolant question!
you might as well buy 15ltr if they come in 5lt cans.
.
.

youll use a bit when bleeding the system, plus youll have spare for when topping up after a week or so of driving.

we recently had a car in with suspected head gasket failure
part of the head had actully corroded away and the guy at the machine shop was convined it was from years of using crap coolant

Wouldn't surprise me if someone had just been using pure water.

Remember watching Wheeler Dealers, and that Ed geezer changed the water pump
