[Mk2] [Generic] water in boot

Post by Antno »

my car isstanding outside my house and water has been gathering in the boot has any body got a solution for my problem. i have removed all my lining and its soaking. i remember wen i was drivin it there used to be condensation on the insde of the boot lid i think due to the exhaust heat. the only place wer the water could get in wud be through the rubber seal wer the previous owner has made two holes to run the cable into the boot for the rear fog conversion but there about 100mm apart horizontally and where the wire runs to the is no water there. so its not runing down the wire.
Thanks Antno :thumleft:

Is the drain pipe for the aerial pushed through the hole in the bottom of the right hand well? Have a look, there should be a rubber hose from the base of the electric aerial unit going down and out of the car. My hose was just lying in the well with loads of crap which blocked the drain hole, and made the well rust.

as above plus either these holes or the spoiler holes if it has been removed in the past...use silicon sealer on them and dry everything out...hopefully that will cure it :-k
