[Mk2] [NA] Handbrake

Hi guys, thanks for all your input on the other subject I posted, anyway what I'm after this time is somebody to tell me the construction of the hanbrake cable i.e is it one piece from handle to brake , two cables from handle to brake or three, before I go and lay in the cold and start undoing bits that I might not need to.

3 cables in total.
One short one from handle lever to a pivot thingy nearer the bottom of the car (above the undertray on the bottom of the car that's directly beneath the gearstick/handbrake lever). Then from there there's two cables to the rear calipers.
