[Mk2] [Turbo] help with diagnostics

have a bit of a boostprob and tryed to do the self test with the old paper clip but the engin light just stays on and wont flash it should flash even if all is good but mine wont flash at all can any one help and before any one asks am putting the clip in e1 and te1 :(

Have you got the key in the 'On' position and your immobiliser disabled?

yea just as it says i have done the check in the past and it worked fine, cant understand why this happening????

Don't know what to suggest other than try it again, sometimes you need to push the paperclip down a bit further or give it a wiggle to make a good connection.

fact is you havent connected it correctly dude.
you just need to keep trying and use other clips or a bit of wire.

the bulb could be duff or have been removed.

3S Service Centre - brilliant with everything 3S-GTE, just not so good with reading :wink: :lol:

On a more helpful note, though - you are putting the wire in with the ignition off then turning it on?

I'd say pull the fuses and reset it, but that kinda defeats the object of looking for the codes as they'll be reset.

been pookin the clip rite in and still nothing the bulb is ok as tjhe light comes on but just stays on ????

you bridge connections right on the ecu, if this fails to work you probably have a faulty ecu
