[Mk2] [Generic] Help removing MOMO gear knob!!!

Post by chum_2000_uk »

I am having trouble with my knob

cant work out how to take it off to replace a) the gear gator and b) possibly the knob itself as I dont like it.

However, I have tried screwing it off (easy tiger!) and also tried loosening the bit at the bottom to see if it has grub screws underneath but attempts at both have been unsuccessful :-k

Here is are a few pictures of the gear knob I have:

I took the clear plastic bits off the side, to see if that revealed anything that may hold the gear knob on, but it doesn't.

I'm guessing I have to unscrew the bit at the bottom, but I cant seem to do it... if this is indeed the case can anyone suggest a way of doing it, preferably without damaging it?

Could really use your help on this one guys, cheers

I'd say there is defo grub screws under the bottom piece of the gear knob. I'd say get some mole grips or similar with some cloth or tape around it to avoid damage. :thumleft:

as above, just unscrew that bottom bit to reveal the bolts

i had a knob like that but mine wouldn't stay tight and kept falling off so think yourself lucky that yours is nice and firm :-k
