[Mk2] [Turbo] gen3 3S-GTE Oil pump assemply

My car is rev3 turbo Mr2 and engine 3S-GTE gen3.
One garage rebuilt this engine 4000km (less than 3000miles) ago and oil pump is now broken.

I have only gen2 3S-GTE (mr2 rev2) manuals and if compare assemply and manual, can see that pump assemply is different in these two.

Difference is in drive gear and driven gear. Gear marks are installed now to face oil pump body(=block side) and manual tells to install marks to cover side:

Did Toyota change these marks to other side when they upgrade 3S-GTE to gen3 or is this reason why my oil pump is broken

I found Engine supplements (RM398E) to gen3 3s-gte but there is only differences to same gen 3s-ge and there is no information.
