[All] [Generic] Hello again

Post by Raf »

hello again fellow IMOC'ers.

i was an old member on here before for some time; had 2 MR2 ( red na & a black tubby) before but then the scamera man took a liking to my driving so in order to protect my licence i moved on... had various cars since and currently drive a BMW 530d. Great car for what it is BUT now back in the game.... bought a white MR2 n/a as weekend toy \:D/ ... i just had to buy it!

have to sort a few niggles out & get a border bumper on the front (anywhere decent? read about NEOS Design, any good?)... ; need to re-cap on all things MR2 so will be sifting through posts.

cheers
Raf

thanks lads.... i guess what i missed the most was the driving position & the 2 seats!

really wanted another tubby (had a brillant black rev 3 GT) but i have to keep the beemer as it has 4 doors & its brilliant at clocking up the mileage. as this is the weekend sort of car (any excuse really) i could only get away with an NA.... i guess buying a house had lots to do with it too!

good to see alot of the old faces (or usernames even) still here!

pics in due course; a few things i have to do to get the outside looking right; then im planning on changing the interior from blue to black; half of its done already so i may as well finish it off.

i always wanted a white one so now white is officially the fastest colour :eye:

If you want to pay / put a deposit for a product at Neos, be prepared to wait over 6 months / 1 year or at worse get screwed over!

Hi Raf, welcome back to the site!
I am also interested in changing the interior colour of mine from blue to black, how are you going about it with yours?

the car at the moment has had the tough bits changed already but i dont think they've been put on securely.

what i need to to is secure it up again which may mean taking it out but most of the dash, carpets & trim behind the seats has been changed, ive got seatbelts, bits of vent and plasctic stuff to change that is still blue. the roof lining is grey, not sure if this is the original colour but that will do for now.

if you do it anytime soon i can help you through it as like i said im just going to check over everything to make sure its secure and all bolts/screws & fastners used.... dont want a rattly dash.

i would starts really by stripping out the interior, strip down the dash and take out; get the dash in first, carpets door cards and then the rest of the trim.

i'll have a look see to see how the dash is fixed this weekend as i suppose this will be the hardest thing to do so any Q's fire away...
