[Mk2] [Turbo] Bomex vs Veilside

Post by ELS »

I have already purchased a Bomex drift wing and am now trying to make my mind up on what rear bumper or spats to go for. I've been thinking about using a Veilside rear bumper but am not sure about how nicely the lines will tie in with the Bomex drift wing.

Would be gratefull for some peoples opinions?

Pics would be much appreciated if anyone has this Bomex and Veilside combo and for any other combo's out there?

Many thanx 8)

Veilside are a bit gay tbh. I use to love them so much and always wanted one but after seeing my mates mr2 in the flesh i hated them.

Plus you can get them for a ford probe :s do you want your car to look like a probe?

Bomex drift wing has to be coupled with border spats IMO.

They are the ones I have on mine..

..not a fan of veilside either.. bit chavtastic.. IMO.. but thats just my taste. It's all far too fussy.. random lines and curves all over the place.

Ive got the Border spats at the mo but I think i will
get them blended in. They look kind of just stuck on.
Also thinking about a Sard front.

Hi ELS,

What side skirts have you got????

Not only got to match the spoiler and rear!!!

If you want to go a bit extreme you could get the Veilside rear and chop the blobs off to go from this.......

to this effect...............

should go quite nicely then! IMO

Cheers

The pic above is the 'modena' rear bumper i believe, or a modified version of it - great improvement

VS rear bumper with Bomex drift wing would be a big clash IMHO - smooth wing with complex bumper. I'd go with the TOMS rear just because I'm not a fan of the border spats, or any spats really (awaits flaming 8-[ ).

im with leeroy on this one....without a doubt you should consider a tom`s rear bumper....nothing else will work as well

Where can you get the Toms rear from? Has Neos started producing them?

Yep, its a Modena one, but used to have the veilside blobs on it, as it's made to go with the skirts. Would get the same effect if you hacked a veilside rear to death though....go fo something a bit different!
