AW11 crash test pic

Post by sadako »

Do these exist? I've been looking online to see if I can find one to satisfy my curiosity. If Lauren's crash pic is anything to go by it should do pretty well...

Possibly not as Euro NCAP wasn't about in the mid 80's, they might have crash tested elsewhere though. Would be interesting to see if the lack of the lump up front makes for a better 'crumple zone'!!

these little cars are damn tough, their weight explains it IMO.

i'll have to find the pics of the feral after i hit a MASSIVE dog doing 170k p/h back in 1996. did 7500 grands worth of damage, and i was still able to drive it.

hard to beat that pic of lauren's though..

Whats incredible is that none of the mk1's shown (inc link to mr2 challenge at Mallory) suffered any passenger compartment damage! Wonder how a typical fwd eurobox would fare?

A vintage Jag.
No... seriously.

From what Si wrote on TB, he was coming to overtake a lorry and although the road had originally appeared clear the Jag appeared during the overtake. This is from memory as the post has disappeared over there (they've had server issues) but it sounds like it was just one of those things. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt.

I really do wonder how badly off the Jag was though. One thing though, both cars were rare...
