So you decided to sell then Rich! As I said before, very rare spec of car.
Good luck with the sale.

hello mate. sell it on the bay. no one will buy it on here!! there all mentalists!!! bought a mr2 for £50 the other day so im ok for bits at the mo ta!!
Re: MR2 MK1 Supercharger Gun Metal Grey Tintop: *SOLD*
Don't know about mentalists... but good luck with the sale Rich! There's been a few people after SCs recently (myself included, but I'm a sucker for T-bars, which is a shame as this seems to be a great example of a rarer car!) so hopefully you'll get some interest through here!

Re: MR2 MK1 Supercharger Gun Metal Grey Tintop: *SOLD*
Thanks guys, hopefully will go to a good home. Would love to hold onto her but other responsibilites force the sale.
This really is a perfect example, a few good ones are still coming over from Japan, this is ideal for someone who wants a showcar with a little more money spent.
3/4 of the nuts and bolts on the underside are silver, no rust! Amazing when you think about the age.
Forgot to mention:
Full Toyota tool kit (double sided spanners etc)
Space saver wheel with Bridgestone rubber

This might sound like a really stoopid question, but what sort of mpg do you get from it?

Re: MR2 MK1 Supercharger Gun Metal Grey Tintop: *SOLD*
Hi Gordy, its actually a question Ive asked myself of other SC owners and a calculation I just made yesterday when driving down south!
The results have shocked me though and I'm double checking my sums to make sure this is correct!
Filling my tank when on the orange low light was on: 33.37 litres = 7.3414 Gallons
300 motorway miles on that tank
300 / 7.3414 = 40.86 mpg
I know the tank has a higher capacity but at 300 miles there was still some left.
This confirms that the car does not have the oversize pulley and has a tight non abused engine!

Thanks Huw, I bought them chromed from America, I think they must have been reconditioned or new over there and then chromed. I was a little sceptical at first when I put them on but they have grown on me!

Hi Gary, a set of standard alloys will come with the car if your not after the chrome ones, hopefully with some half decent rubber as well!

This has to nearly be the ultimate MK1 apart from the grey over silver one. If I didnt already have a tintop I would go for thsi in a heartbeat and if I thought I could sell mine quick enough I would have this one as I so want this colour in tintop!

I think grey over silver can look the part definately but it is definately some 80's homage! Its like them wood effect colours you find on big wagons! The wood effect smashes it!
Gun metal grey definately brings a new dimension to the 2!
