[Mk2] [Turbo] part numbers and prices!!

hi all

well just need some info on this one

last month some tool drove into the back of me cracking my bumper and bending the bar that attches the bumper to the car !!! now i have gone through one of these no win no fee groups and there asking for qoutes on the job. my mate has a garage and i want him to do the work but i said i would find price then add his labour to get my estimates for the insurers.

my Q is where can i get prices from ? and part numbers?

How come you can't just go through the other guys insurance?

As for the parts Toyota will be able to tell you, expect £500+ for the bumper. On the plus side though it should come ready painted so no need to take it to a garage unless there is more serious damage underneath?

Exactly, go through your insurance mate, even if 3rd party it covers you if its their fault - which seems to be the case.

If you can claim a new bumper, I have one going 2nd hand in perfect condition so you could make a fair bit of money off it

the reason why i when through no win no fee is i had whip lash!! and i wanted some compensation for the pain. it turns out it was a company car that when into the back of me. the guy had informed his company of any incident so he would give any details to the solicitor until we threatened him. the guy was speeding through a one way road restriction and i was waiting to turn right the guy slammed his brakes on and then hit me !!

thanks for prices where are these from? as i need to forward them onto the solicitor so he can file the claim.

Sorry to hear about this incident nobs who tail-gate are the worst

let alone ram into ones rear.When guys come racing up my rear i

immediately step aside,whats the point?

Then i dont also attack the brake

pedal as a warning if trouble is ahead.Personally i keep at least 8

seconds distance away from the car in front in the dry with fine

weather and miles in adverse weather conditions.

Out of interest James do the bumpers come from the factory in the colour

code of the mr2 or does one paint them,seem to re-call them being sort of

plastic finished colour coded from the factory is that correct?

yeah didnt think any damage was done untill i had it checked

will the insuring comany want recipt of the work ? could get cheaper parts and pocket for my inconvenece?

Oops sorry error

No just get the car to good expected standards no point cutting corners

for them that what insurance is there in place for,dont feel bad mate.

Just retain all bills and simply pass on,might be a bit heavy but you

will get it back if he was wrong.

These prices are from Mr T and factory painted. Colour code 202
