can we leave feeback on group buys?

Post by RyanRs »

If not , why not! after all, its still buying and selling goods and involves the same trust etc that a normal sale would require! after all, a lot of the time the group buys are setup by an individual rather than a affiliate.. and anyone could "pretend" they have say... bulk stock at great discount, then on collection of cash, disappear!

-not saying anyone would, but i think any form of trading deserves feedback for others to see.

Interesting Idea, I was wondering this too, but there are plenty of pitfalls there...

i.e. a group pays a member for a product, the member places an order with a company and then that company :

1 Doesn't deliver the goods
2 $hafts you on delivery time
3 Goes bankrupt etc
4 Delivers substandard goods

Are you going to leave negative feedback on the IMOC'er who started th BG?? Seems a little unfair really :-k

Do you leave feedback on the supplyers or the member? If the supplyer then they would need an IMOC presence and therefore almost certainly need to be an Affilliate...

Matt, I think you're spotted the issue with this.

Group buys offered by an affiliate - I'm happy to do a one-off 'tweak' to the feedback for the vendor to reflect the number of happy people on a GP.

For Group buys that are arranged by an forum member, what they're actually doing (when I have run them in the past) is collecting payment and co-coordinating communications with everyone - but are not always in control of when the product is sent, to who and dealing with any quality / damage issues relating to the product. Leaving feedback with them for the sale isn't always appropriate...
