[Mk2] [Turbo] xs power - Departure 2 Style Exhaust

Post by gtech »

Apart from the soundclip on their site, has anyone on here got a sound clip of the exhaust on their car, would like to hear a few of them for comparison.

Thanks

Exhaust looks great but is horrifically loud in the flesh IF DECATTED!!!!.......and thats coming from a Nur Spec owner!

They sound great cos they gargle and pop constantly, but at anything between 1500-2000 rpm the base note is unbearable. I followed my mates tubby with this exhaust all the way down to Cornwall and it gave me a headache being the car behind!

Sounds great but just be aware at particular cruising speeds it can get unbeleivably basey......keep the nurofen at the ready!

Lu is yours decatted or NOT.

Very concerned about the Comment about it being LOUD, dont mind LOUD but as its my daily car I dont want to be arriving at work with headaches, or when doing the JAE Run.

Any other OWNERS sound clips would be great

I've had the 5zigen, Nur and the Motoria/Japspeed one (all decated) and the Motoria/Japspeed is def NOT what I'd class as 'loud' - Just a really nice deep tone 8)

The 5zigen would make you sick from the noise/bass though :D

i loved it aswell

as for loud ,they are deep ,but not unbearable .definiteley not as loud as NURspec

mine had a decat ,was deeper than the mongoose i had ,but less droney at cruising speeds

i would still have it if i hadn't bought an apexi GT .now they are loud

That would be me then.

Not sure I agree entirely matey, but not sure what it sounds like being in a car behind. I did a 5 hour trip back yesterday with no headache at all and no complaints. Cruising at 75-80 is fine tbh. Yes it gets boomy below 1800-2000 RPM but I rarely go that low anyway. With t-bars on its fine IMO, with them off its fecking awesome

I think they look gorgeous too

I'd recommend one :thumleft:
