I agree with Malcolm.

I've advised many people on how to put photos up and have even done it for many people in the for sale section

(mostly Mk1s).

I don't really know why I spend the time doing it and am less inclined to do so now as I've got so much on already.

But we cannot force people not to advertise just because they haven't posted photos.

One of the advantages of advertising over the internet is that you have a much larger audience with a much larger outreach

(in terms of distance from you) than the local ads.

This is also a pitfall as it means that you're less likely to travel further if there are no photos.

.

.

so I can see where you're coming from.

Ultimately, if you're not happy with the Ad, and you can't get the info you want via PM/phone, don't go to see it.

At the moment, that'd be more the sellers loss than yours.

.

.

there are plenty of MR2s for sale at the moment.
But
I think you'll find that most sellers do their best to get photos and usually have them on their computer.

All it normally takes is a quick PM with your email address and they'll email them to you.

This is worse off for the seller than if they posted them online as they use more of their own bandwidth constantly uploading the same photos, thus taking more time.

.

.

but for some it's easier than posting them online.

What's more, I've seen photos of cars which have looked stunning

- and photos recent to the sale too.

Get there only to find rust holes here and there and tired paint work.

.

.

I know they say the camera can't lie.

I can tell you now as someone who loves photography that that's a lie.

.

.

it's very very easy to make something look much better than it is.

So ultimately, unless if they're pointing out specific faults, you won't really gain much from photos of a car.

.

.

especially if you already know what an MR2 looks like.

.

.

Sorry, that turned into a bit of a rant which I didn't intend.

I do appreciate the suggestion as a valid one and I often feel exactly the same as you

- look at an advert and ask myself why the seller hasn't put any photos up.

.

.

it is very annoying.

.

.

but it's not something that we can really enforce unfortunately.
