Hey, im just looking for a few numbers to try for an insurance quote on an imported N/A MR2.... 21, 3 yrs driving, will have 1 yrs ncb in feb

Any ideas?? thanks

Just get a quote from elephant - cheapest by a mile IMO.

try confused.com mate they go through all insurance companys.

i am 24 with 1 year NCB been banned twice and various other offences, LC20, IN10, SP30 and got fully comp for £745 on a 1992 turbo

just to let people know these offences are from when i was much much younger and have not had an offence in 4 year and now totally clean ;)

jeasus u r doing somehting wrong, at 21 i had an NA mr2, fiesta turbo, escort turbo etc and max was paying about 900

adrian flux?

tried flux they said no chance at 21 on an import. :neutral:


on confused.com i put 21, 1yrs ncb, mr2 1994 model, £3k value , 1 claim, n i think i went for the GT model (i think)

just try a few different things mate see what works for u, what works for u may be different for others

put your mum on your insurance as a second driver or as u second driver
lower annual miles
maybe forget to mention ure claim (but if ya crash they will void it) :)

£1750 with dad as named driver. with Its4me insurance

Adding your mum may well bring it down. A wife is better...

Don't put yourself as 2nd driver. That's breaking the rules, and you just know they wouldn't pay out.

i have an imported n/a, turned 21 today so was insured at age of 20. my insurane is £1500 and also i have my dad named as a second driver.

um i have been younger than i am now, i am sure i have :roll:

granted i am only 24 and you are obviousley allot older, the point i was making is we all make mistakes when were younger, i aint the idiot driver i used to be

i been driving 7 years and that first 2-3 i was an idiot to be honest

Insurance sounds crazy prices - dont waste your money IMO.

Why not just get a UK spec? Spend what you save on doing it up.

just used insureyourmotor.com and the cheapest quote was £1350 with Kwik Fit. might ring them to double check that
