looks good buddy, and i'm prietty sure you could even get an Apexi or K&N panel filter to replace the paper one. Best of both worlds then. And because you cleverly designed it from another cars panel filter they shouldn't be to hard to obtain.

Well done i say =D> fabication looks good as well.

:thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft: So good to see someone making there own stuff (and making an excellant job of it) instead of just buying over priced parts. I recon if you were to make a few you'd make a bit of money there, well done :thumleft:

Thanks for the feedback guys - no idea what its cost me as yet - waiting for my boss to come up with a price as i made it at work - see what he says, if its reasonable, i may be able to make a few more.
I started with the idea of boxing in my cone filter, but having seen the arc on here a few times and also what people had said about them i thought that seemed a better design. The reason i made it around the supra filter, was that obviously the shape and size of it and there seems to be more available on the market,so shouldnt have a problem finding a replacement when needed.

yes, looks good & i'm sure it will perform. please let us know if you decide to make a number. i'm sure there's plenty of people who want something like this rather than exposed cone filters.

Cheers

Steve What Velocity stack did you use ???

Hi mate, the velocity stack is actually a cold air intake bought from a well known mail order company.
I might have to source a different intake because it was sh!te to weld, some type of cheap crap alloy!

Due to the amount of interest i might be persuaded to make a few,all depends on what kind of price i can make them for and how much my boss will let me have them for.

mods

If i was to sell a few of these would i have to pay advertising fees? Could you pm me the details :thumleft:

ARC LOOKALIKE

I think it would be a good idea to get your car on a rolling road and do a check with a say apexi filter then again with the (steve special box)

Just before you start selling them if you do so you have some proven figures. :D

Very well done with the Fabrication steve, I may be intrested depending on price. For a discounted price I will do the rolling road testing for you at our local North east power run day on my car

looks good mate 8)

the only thing that looks different from the Arc is the lack of the hole for the intake sensor - that wont be difficult to do though :)
