Just got this...

Image

Really impressed. Does data logging too with the software included. Just want me car back now so I can test it :(

Records:
HP @ the wheels
Torque @ the wheels
0-60 mph
0-100 mph
60 ft time
RPM replay
...and lots more!

Check it out here:

it guesses power by you inputting your cars weight in the gizmo, and then doing a 0-60 0-100mph.....

at a guess anyhow.....

looks nice.

Looks very nice. I'm eyeing up a Greddy Profec e-01 boost controller at the moment for the Roadster ...

I have one :D

Bloody awkward to setup! good fun though, especially the lateral G's! Let me know how you get on with it as I haven't really mastered the drag timer yet, the rev meter is ace, works off the current supplied by the cig lighter.

This thing is awesome! Did some tests with it last night, and it really is spot on with it's info.

I did several tests (albeit with the Starlet  ).

Drag mode:
Data can replayed, or uploaded it to your laptop for further analysis with the PASS software. Shift lights come on at 500rpm before peak, which in this case was set at 6k, 250rpm before and 50rpm before, then all four lights flash simultainiously. In this state, the G-Tech gives the following data:

0 - 60
0 - 100
50 - 70 etc
0 - 100 - 0
HP & Torque vs RPM
HP vs Time
RPM vs Time
Speed vs Time
Reaction Time
60 foot

Road Race mode:
Again, the data can be replayed either on the G-Tech unit, or on a laptop once the data has been uploaded via the software provided. Data shows lateral, accelerative and decelerative G, which can be set to the users preference. In this state, the G-Tech gives the following data:

G's (Acceleration) vs Time
G's (Deceleration) vs Time
Braking distance

Several vehicle's data can be stored, and there's enough memory for a complete session at a track day!

Add to that, it simply plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. That's it! You then simply let the car idle for a minute, to calibrate the rpm, and then enter the vehicle weight. After that, you need to perform a test in Drag mode.

Once that's been done, all functions are available. It's so easy to use.

Can't wait to use it in anger now on the Beast. :thumleft:

That's the daddy Ben. I'll have one for sale soon, as the MoTeC is dealing with the boost control on the Beast, so it's surplus to requirements.

Should be out of the car by now. I'll check with Andi.

Awesome piece of kit. If you have the e-Manage, you can actually use the e-01 to map the car, as it has a direct interface to the map!

Gimme a shout if you're interested.

So what where the results with the starlet??? :eye:

Do you not have to hold yours at different rpms to calibrate? I have had mine a year so it may have advanced. The shift light is fun though!!!

I'm interested to know this also - I had to hold a set RPM level - eg 4000RPM to calubrate mine.
I had trouble getting mine to register the RPM correctly during a drag run. It seemed to be ok just after calibrating but I think the current in my lighter fluctuates slightly and I could never get the RPM measurement to work properly (which means I couldn't get a direct torque reading unfortunately)

Let us know how you get on :D
