Torque Developments International - any feedback?

Post by FreeFall »

Anybody used TDI for engine work/mapping? Anyone been on that monster RR?

Just after general feedback as to what you guys & gals think of them. I did some searching on here but don't see them mentioned much (although the search terms "TDI" "Torque" and/or "Developments" obviously throw up some unrelated posts  )

Any of their guys hang out on this forum?

I'd be interested to hear your viewpoints.

Off to watch the repeat of Fifth Gear now as I missed it last night...

Let's put it this way, last time someone slated them on the IMOC email list, they threatened to shut down the club!

 surely freedom of speech, and the fact that the club states whats said is not views of the club just the individual, would mean they are powerless to do anything. Especially if the accusations are true.

Yikes! :silent:

Anybody got any views that they want to PM me?

Good job the lads from KTC don't take the same approach

I understand that a good company's reputation can be tarnished by a couple of posts about things that have gone wrong - in my experience people are more likely to shout about this than praise an outfit for a job well done - but as long as any comments are fair and justified I don't see the problem!

Looks like this thread might die an early death then...

I took my turbo there for some work and have to say that the work shop and the rr are of the highest quality and their attitude towards the work is spot on, yeah their not cheap but then sometimes you pay for what you get and i feel that i got excellent service. In fact their rolling road is the most impressive ive ever seen

Exactly - and this is the reason I ask.

Yeah, you're right. I was thinking more about general human nature than the feedback available on here - it does seem that these guys are very good at what they do and members aren't shy to show their appreciation.

An engine remap with TDI is part of the deal with the tubby I'm buying (once the engine is run-in), so I won't be paying extra for it. TBH they are a fair trek for me at 80 odd miles away. 3S is much closer and they look to have a good reputation, so I'll probably be heading down to see them when I need any work doing.

That's good news then, thanks Shawn :thumleft:

My mate had his Cavalier V6 chipped there and got good results.
I enquired about getting my Unichip but found better price else where.
