PETROL SMELLS GIVING ME A HEADACHE

Post by RichardMorgan »

Hi,
I have just recently began to smell petrol vapours in my car.
However there is no leak and she isnt really drinking any more fuel.
It was suggested that I get a new petrol cap, but I was then told this isn't the problem, its something to do with the outlet breather pipe or something???????????
HELP
I've had a headache for two weeks, I'm sure its the fumes!
regards, mells [email protected]

ive heard this is a common problem,
i have something similar, but only occurs when the windows are down!
i have seen the caps available on ebay for a few pounds, and i have also heard about the breather pipe problem!
apparently the fuel pipe runs along behind the seats and is prone to the occasional crack or split which can also produce the smell of fumes, though im no epert so dont quote me haha.
good luck with the problem though!
