Jerry cans for trackdays - where's best to buy them?

I'm looking for a 20litre Jerry can with pouring spout that I can use at trackdays to stop me having to go hunting for fuel mid-afternoon.

I've had a quick nose around eBay and there seem to be plenty of Army surplus 10 and 20 litre jerry cans, but they need pouring spouts which are sold separately - 20 litre cans are around £20, pouring spounts around £8 making nearly £30 for a second hand with pouring spout can which does seems a bit much.

Can anyone recommend a good place to pick up sensibly priced Jerry Cans ?

Local auto stores, Hellfrauds, A1 Motor Stores etc.

I got mine from a classic car show £7 second hand. Painted in authentic A-Team colours too.

PS: Pouring spout! I prefer to pour it into something a bit smaller. You felt the weight of a jerry can filled with 20 litres of liquid. Good luck managing to hold that steady as you pour it into the tank!

I notice in Carrefour you can buy Plastic 20L petrol cans (In Green)
Maybe worth picking one up next time you Nurburgring / Booze Cruise.

I know that 20L Plastic Petrol cans are not strictly allowed in the UK... But then you are only using it rarely.

Personally I use a 10L Plastic Diesel can (Black) as you can buy those in the UK for 5-6 quid (with spout) - why not just get a couple of those? Much less likely to get refused at a petrol station for using a non-approved container!

Ta folks. Hmm, a couple of 10l diesel containers may be the way forwards.

Paul - Ta for the tip on fuel containers - I've picked up 16 litres of Mobil1 5W40 from Cite Europe on recent trips for the Roadster and Mk1 - cost was a very reasonable £23 for 5 litres!

I just use my motley collection of cans - 1x 10l metal, 1 x 5l metal, 2 x 5l plastic May invest in another 10l worth for Anglesey as the nearest garage doesn't sell SUL
