Occasional Sticky Brake lights

Post by Grendel »

For some reason once, I stop and park up the rear brake light on the car stay on even after the keys are out of ignition and car locked up? The only why to rectify the problem is to step on the brake pedal a couple of time to make them go out. It does not do it all the time but is starting to get annoying. Any idea what or how to fix?

Sounds like your brake light switch is sticking or may need adjusted, its mounted above the pedal, a bit awkward to get to  you need to lie on your back with your head at the pedals, try wd40 or similar on it. Brake lights work even with the ignition off.

I'm agreeing with you Jinxy!
Will be good to meet up with you and Kev at a few more events soon though!
We need some more support from the oldies!!
Probably be next year now but look forward to seeing you both again!

My Sc looks as though she will be garaged for the winter but hopefully back for many more events next year!

Hi Steve, we did find some but they were simply awful, looked very cheap & nasty & wouldnt have suited your lovely car at all, however we are still looking for them & will get back to you if we find any suitable examples, cheers, Jinx
