[Mk2] [Turbo] Fuel Cap Release

My fuel cap release pull works, However it doesnt return unless i wiggle he (10mm) i think nut holding the shaft.

How do i get access to the cable/other side of the nut, its as if its somewhere above the wheel arch.

the cable runs from the lever, across the rear cabin wall to under the left window and then goes back there.

Can remove the trim below the window (where the speaker is) and gain access that way. Have to take the lower lid trims off too to get it out.
