Seeking advice about either batteryless jump starters or lithium jump starters.
I have the standard 12v lead acid type, which is ok but seems to always be at home, on charge or not charged in boot..!
Saw today one of those mini jump packs, not much bigger than an iphone, which claims to start cars up to 4ltr and diesel up to 2.5ltr.
On paper those and the ultra capacity type seem great....
But are they ??
Anyone had or got one? opinions pls.

Re: portable lithium/capacitor starters ?
I've got one cost £60 will start the 5sgte and a 2ltr diesel easily can't vouch for any higher though and it holds charge for a good while
If you see an MR2 with a raised engine cover, the bottom line is it's probably faster than your car.
Re: portable lithium/capacitor starters ?
Definitely a good backup because it's so convenient. Though not really designed to jump the car by itself (ie today dead battery) but assist it.
Some are more versatile they will jump a car even without a battery while others require the battery to be sufficiently charged , so will do a top up charge before allowing to jump.

Re: portable lithium/capacitor starters ?
They are at Lidl this week for £39. Only starts up to 2l petrol and 1.6 diesel but that's fine for my 2 petrol cars.
Apparently the charge holds for about 3 months and it can do 20 jump starts!!!
