Which is worth more?

Post by stevenb »

My mk1 standard. (apart from the new uprated poly bushes which cant be removed)
Or....

My mk1 fitted with koni adjustables all round, magnex exhaust and a K&N induction kit.

Bodywork unmolested as are the wheels.

I have not fitted the koni's yet. the filter is easy to swap as is the exhaust.
Im saving for another car so im a bit reluctant to fit the suspension but I would, if it increased the cars value by the same amount it'd cost to buy the koni's....or near to it.

Cheers

doubt it would increase the value by fitting them.

sell them on to someone else and then sell the car as it is.

no you are unlikely to add much if any value by fitting suspension

Thought so.
Looks like it's bit's off and plain before a sale......and sell the bit's seperate.
That'd make me more £££ and probably appeal to a prospective buyer more.

Im buying a Micra......to save fuel/tax and insurance so I can save up to buy a Supra TT.
I thought about this for ages and now that my 6 points will disappear next year my insurance will be cheaper. Plus I can save running costs as per above whilst running the Micra.
I'm in a better financial position than I was this time last year and next year should be even better. So it's now or never really. :-k
Im still single with no kids. Luckily after my ex and I split up I moved back into my Dad's house and she stayed in her own house. So no commitments.
I will miss the mk1 but not as much as I would miss the chance to own a Supra.

steve I know how you feel I spent ages at the begining of this year deciding what to do as the supra TT is also my perfect car, I sold my diesel runabout to actually buy a new mitsi double cab then circumstances meant I didnt need the truck so then looked at loads of supras but time ran out and I didnt find a good one so bought a celica GT4 205 instead but wish I had stuck with the supra idea ! still I have some nice MKIV Supra seats to go in my SC MK1 now so close enough for now !
