[Mk2] [Turbo] Blitz Ecu Question
Discussing blitz ECU's with someone selling a Blitz Access fitted to a rev 1.
Can this be fitted to a Rev 2? There appears to be a lot of conflicting information

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Blitz Ecu Question
Rev1 and rev2 have different ecu pinouts.
So no not transferable directly.

But have heard you can repin your wiring to a rev2 Pinout to make it work.

Only something i vaguely heard along time ago.
But may give you some more insight.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Blitz Ecu Question
Just a little further info on this,

the Blitz ECU is just a piggy back on the regular ECU.
It is not mappable

It is not a piggyback, it replaces the stock ECU completely and controls all aspects of the car and engine.

You're right on it not being mappable though.

It is not a piggyback, it replaces the stock ECU completely and controls all aspects of the car and engine.A piggyback theoretically is a system that works together with the Stock ECU.

It's a stock ECU with a daughterboard added and a Blitz logo on it.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Blitz Ecu Question
I ran a Mines ecu
(same set up) on my rev 1, it was great and the car went much quicker.

I retarded my base ignition timing a few degr which probably helped the motor last as long as it did, this was due to the JDM sets ups being designed for 100 octane fuel.

Biggest thing with these ecu's is that they were most probably set up for bolt on mods and more boost for the original owners car,
so I would say get things checked on a set of rollers to ensure boost and safe ign timing is set up for your car.

You can re-pin from R1 to R2 there were details on the 2 Bar tuning website which may still be avail.
