Insurance

Post by SteveI42 »

My insurance is up for renewal at the the end of the month. I'm just about to start the trawl for the "best" deal. Who is offering good terms at the moment?

Greenlight have been good for me although they won't give me the agreed value I would like, more the value of what a similar car would cost.

We all know that you would never really find a similar car to the one you own...!! I may look to change myself to get a better agreed value.

Just finished watching Motorway Cops on BBC1 this evening.
Someone got a £110 fine for having no insurance.
I've just paid £330 to Sky Insurance :-k
Food for thought  #-o

Thanks for the tips guys. Best price I've had so far is £115 through admiral although I'll have to check on the NCD loss :?

Sorry I must be missing something here. Why do you lose the NCD you build up on classic insurance??

I have a classic insurance policy and they confirmed that my no claims would not be taken into consideration for the policy but also confirmed they won't be lost after 2 years :thumleft:

My understanding is NCD is irrelevant for a classic policy

However, if you don't have another normal policy with your NCD attached to it, it lapses after a certain amount of time

Insurance quotes for my Rev5 NA was huge (1000+) with my 1 speeding ticket and being 24. Adrian Flux being £6000 for some reason, even the girl on the phone laughed. However Tesco quoted me £630 and have been great. They just seem to insure it as a 2.0 Toyota and not a mid engine sports car
