Have you used the built in diagnostics port to check for fault codes?

? What connection?

you just need to short Pins Te1 and E1 and then switch on the ignition. The CEL will then blick any codes stored.

Have you changed the fuel filter? Check the injectors aren't clogged.

I was gonna get a scanner from a friend to check codes... I'll do that way and see what I get... New filters been done, I got a injector max machine at work which should hopefully clean injectors so I'll try that aswell 👍 thanks all

You don't use a fault code scanner on these cars- as said above: bridge the two connectors and read the fault code from the check engine light :thumleft:

I've removed the sensor to check for dirt etc... Looks fine, then did a resistance check between pin vta and e2 it was 3.4 but as I twisted the throttle round the resistance moved up then 1/3 of a turn and went to open circuit... Am guessing it's the problem?

That's how I was checking

Thanks guys

May not help you directly, but if you're going to clean up the throttle body I found this chap's guide on AE86 TB refurb to be interesting - I think some of the logic to it applies to 3sge TB/sensor cleaning and ISCV config:
