[Mk2] [NA] how to get my passenger side window back up

hi my window motor has broken.it wont go up. I sent it all the way down position and taken the got panel off, but then realised to get the last bolt out on the mechanism I have to have the window up a little bit to get to the access hole. But I cannot make it go up. can I reverse it some how? Or anyway of moving it up? steve

is the motor def dead ?? cause you can feed a 12 straight to it to get it back up

No it will only go down but not back up

If i run power straight to it.wouldnt it still only operate down and not up?

have you checked for broken cables etc in the door loom, if you feed a supply straight to the motor and it goes down and up you know its a fault in the loom somewhere or switch
