[Mk2] [Turbo] Knock sensor problems

Hi in need of help am getting error code 52 which is knock sensor ,I have changed knock sensor reset ecu and still getting the error code when it hits 2k rpm and one know what it could be ??rev2 turbo with charge cooler

Check continuity of wire from ECU to knock sensor plug.

Did you buy it off ebay?

Yeah got it eBay , is there any way I can test the sensor ?

It's using a lot of fuel as well could that be linked ? P,s new coil park king lead and spark plugs worked fantastic !

Are the eBay ones crap ? Hot it sent over from Japan ??

If it was cheap, who knows.

Check wiring first.

mine did that when my knock sensor was gone fine when cold but quarter temp ane eml would come on, then all noise and no go apart from the fuel, think of it as a limp home mode
If you see an MR2 with a raised engine cover, the bottom line is it's probably faster than your car.

Hi peter do you know what wire it is in the boot ?

Pin 13 on the 16 pin plug.

Cheers Peter checked the wire it's fine really don't know what is up with it now would it pass an mot like it ? And then I could maybe get it over to you ?
