Ive bought a pair of Cusco strut brace of eBay over the weekend, It seemed like a great idea at the time, Id been out Sunday lunchtime drinking & had beer glasses on! I Stuck a £90 max bid on & then fell asleep
. needless to say when I awoke I was the proud owner of second hand cusco braces!
Anyway in the cold light of day Im wondering whether the Toyota original braces are superior as they are not only attached to the top of strut but are also anchored to the bulkhead/firewall, where as the Cusco aftermarket offering only bridges the gap from strut to strut, anyone got any experience on this?
Am I better leaving the Toyota braces on until I can find nice TRD ones & listing these Cuscos back on eBay?

Use them both.
You sure it's cusco.

They look like the real mcCoy, but I won't know for sure until they arrive.
Use both....I hadnt thought of that! Not quite what I had in mind but worth a look I guess

Its quite easy to modify the stock front brace so you can fit the cusco one as well - I have done exactly this on my car - sorry I can't post up a pic. at the moment.

What mods did you need to do to make them fit on top of each other?
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Cusco Strut brace or OEM
Has anyone else mounted aftermarket strut brace in tandem with the Toyota OEM part?
How does it drive & what mod"s were necessary to make it fit?
