Car looks great, beast!

My car is currently off road awaiting a new forged engine. Makes me want my car back, run in and mapped now!

Such a wait ahead of me. :(

That's a shame. What was your peak intake temperature ? I don't think the st205 charge cooler will flow much past 390 ish.

ryan said they are good for 500 but the 3071 is only good for 430 anyway, my issue was the piston rings and something in the head like a unseated valve :(
contaminated fuel causing knock at high rpm
oh well more money on the two

new rings( purchased bottom end already built) and check the head over and drop some 264 in there

So going back to a 2ltr?

I cant imagine there are many already built 2.2 bottom ends for sale!

What were the intake temps?
Didn't think the st205 cc was good for much past 360. Could be wrong.

il just strip this one and check bores replace rings and drop a set of 264 cams and rebuild the head hopefully that will sort it out :)

the engine runs absolutely fine and is driven daily just anything over 5/6k is a no go , so i can take my time, nice having low down power and faster spool from the 2.2 though and now its not running on the old map might save some fuel lol
