Re: [Mk2] [NA] Battery/alternator
What is battery voltage with engine running?
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Battery/alternator
not got that far yet charging battery to full first.
I thought it strange that the charge light didn't come on at all, but all dash lights come on as soon as battery voltage drops below half way. untill then though it's as if nothings wrong.

Ok, battery voltage stays the same with engine running, 12v at all 4 wires to alternator.
Looks like an alternator is required

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Battery/alternator
i had trouble recently with my voltage dropping, no warning lights on. turned out to be the main pole on the alternator was corroded, causing a poor connection. removed the nut and wire, cleaned everything up and now its working the best. worth a look.
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Battery/alternator
Okay i shall check tomorrow.

Ok, ive checked all fuses and put multimeter on to see.
I get about 13-14v stabilizing at 13.8 on tickover. With load it drops to 12.5v.
My dash lights dont go out though any ideas?
