Re: Paint code
It's not noted as it's just an undercoat.
Re: Paint code
If you want to match it up, just about any car paint retail specialist will run out with a set of swatches (etc.) and mix you up however much you want, put it in an aerosol, etc.

Re: Paint code
It should be the same colour, but as peter says, it'll be unlacquered

Re: Paint code
base coat doesn't always look metallic until the lacquer is applied.
Why don't you post some pics

Re: Paint code
If it's Aqua Pearl I feel your pain! It took me about 4 years to find a code and I can tell you it's not listed in any auto books, nor is it the same as the general top coat. What I found was a RAL code, it was based on non-mainstream auto paint chips but widely available as an industrial finish e.g 2k. I just checked through my boxes as thought I had a spare tin but I don't but I can tell you to save time go to a local industrial counter and look through RAL chips. You may have to buy an activator and thinner though but it was the only close colour match I found in years of looking through automotive ones, it'll just be a bit more glossy than the satin finish from the factory but I tell you it matched.
Re: Paint code
Cheers at least i can stop looking for a code now!
Re: Paint code
Yea I'm kicking myself I never wrote the code down since. I tried Toyota and allsorts to find out but it's not ever been a recorded colour which maybe makes me think now it may have varied through production. But if you look through the RAL chips under non-metallics you may still find a very close match.
