[Mk2] [Turbo] New Battery Recommendations

Post by platmatt8 »

Well,

I think my battery has given up the ghost, to be fair I've abused it and its been on the car for 6years that I know of.

Letting a battery run flat and charging it up multiple times isn't going to do you or the battery any favours.

Can anyone recommend me a replacement for a 1993 turbo?

Also for the 6 months when the car is in storage can anyone recommend me a trickle charger.

I've just bought a Bosch from ecp. With discount code it was 62 quid. Think you can get the same from eBay carparts4less for a fiver cheaper.

Put in your reg in their checker and the Bosch was the medium range.

As I use my car just for the summer I bought a cheaper equivalent of the ctec charger from aldis. It was about 13 quid and does a great job. Leave it on all the time.

We'll got a new one today, wow what a difference car kicked up instantly, I don't even think I hit the key stop before it started.

Also fitted a Maintenance charger.
