Janspeed Crapness again

Once again the crap design of the Janspeed exhaust has struck again.

Thought I heard a raspy sound when putting the back into the garage.

Janspeed, now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time,

If you have access to a welder then looks like a quick fix, if not then time to get away from janspeed and choose an alternative brand, a nice and shiny S/S one

That's just the one area I wire brushed. I suspect there are other cracks where the other hanger is welded.

I'll get it fixed at work no problem.

Just refitted my 'hooligan' custom powerflow exhaust - really awful thing to fit, but looks really aggressive.

I'll say it again, there is nowhere near enough flexibility on the Janspeed system to take out the movement between the engine and the system.

It needs at least 6" of exhaust flexi welding in under the sump area instead of that bull$h1t jointed coupler they use, it's obviously going to keep cracking.

The welders at my place did a good job on welding the flexi to my powerflow downpipe, so I will ask em to mod the Janspeed.

Weld a flexi in with a flange and mod the other end, backbox side. Swaged flanges are crap.
